Returns and Warranty
Returns:
Returns are accepted on standard order parts for 30 days from the date of purchase or delivery (whichever is later) with the following terms and conditions:
- Returns can only be processed after you complete a request for an RMA (Return Merchandise Authorization) number. You can request an RMA by emailing RMA@playgroundpar.com.
- Labels will only be issued if a part is defective or does not match the photos of the part you purchased. Return shipping costs for parts that are not defective are the responsibility of the buyer.
- Please label the shipping container clearly with the RMA number.
- Returned parts must be in the same condition as they arrived. Refunds will not be given when the part has been disassembled, painted, modified, or otherwise tampered with. This includes if the item was reprogrammed.
- Any part that is non-stock or that we have brokered on your behalf is non-refundable.
- Parts that we have modified at your request (for instance, cutting an exhaust to lower cost shipping) are non-refundable.
- All refunds are not made until the part has been received by Playground and has been inspected.
- No refund will exceed the original purchase price of the part.
- No refunds for any labor charges.
- All international return shipping costs are the responsibility of the buyer, regardless of return reason.
- Some part descriptions contain the words - AS IS or PARTS ONLY in their description. These parts are NOT returnable and do not have warranty. These parts are provided for customers who are able to repair the part themselves or to rebuild other parts.
RESTOCK FEES
- All non-defective returns will be assessed a 20% restock fee.
ELECTRICAL PARTS
- Electronic parts that are programmed are not returnable.
- Electronic parts that are “defective” in the same manner as your failed part are not treated as a defective return and will be subject to the 20% restock fee.
Warranty:
All of our parts (except AS-IS and PARTS ONLY parts) are covered under a standard parts only warranty. 60 days is counted from the date of purchase or delivery (whichever is later). Our warranty policy is below.
Warranty Terms Available:
- Standard Warranty (Included): 60 Days
- Extended Warranties (Available for Specific Parts): One Year, Two Year, Three Year (Please note: The purchase price of any extended warranty tier is non-refundable)
The following terms, conditions, and limitations apply to all warranty tiers (60 Day, One Year, Two Year, and Three Year).
COVERAGE LIMITS & DISCLAIMERS
-
Original Purchaser: The warranty is valid for the original purchaser only and is strictly non-transferable and non-assignable.
-
Extended Warranty Purchases: The cost of purchasing an extended warranty (One Year, Two Year, or Three Year) is strictly non-refundable under any circumstances.
-
Maximum Liability: At no time will a warranty claim ever exceed the original purchase price of the part.
-
Base Component Only: The warranty covers the base component only. Any additional parts left attached are provided for convenience or protection of the core part and are not covered by any warranty.
-
No Supplemental Reimbursements: There are absolutely no reimbursements for labor, diagnostics, towing, car rental, lost wages, programming, or reprogramming.
-
Remedy: Playground reserves the right to repair, replace, or refund the part based on available stock, entirely at our discretion. We also reserve the right to use a repair facility of our choosing to diagnose any warranty claim.
WHAT IS NOT COVERED
-
Shipping Costs: The warranty does not cover any shipping costs. Outbound shipping charges are strictly non-refundable and will not be reimbursed. Return shipping back to us (required in most cases) is the sole responsibility of the buyer. All international return shipping costs are also the responsibility of the buyer.
-
External Fluid Leaks: Parts are not covered for external fluid leaks. We highly recommend that seals and gaskets be replaced as part of the repair process. (A checklist of parts required for replacement may be provided with items like engines or transmissions).
-
Improper Use: This warranty only covers parts used in normal driving conditions. It does not cover damage resulting from accidents, abuse, neglect, improper installation, modified vehicles, improper maintenance, off-road use, or use outside of the proper designated vehicle.
REQUIREMENTS FOR VALID WARRANTY CLAIMS
-
Return of the Part: To process any warranty claim, the buyer must return the defective part to us. The item must be physically received and inspected by our facility before any repair, replacement, or refund is issued.
-
Proof of Maintenance: Proof of proper lubrication and refilling of components is a strict requirement for warranty claims.
-
Proof of Programming: Many electronic modules and components require programming. This process must be followed, or the part may not operate correctly or may be damaged. Proof of proper programming by a qualified technician is required for a warranty claim.
-
Heat Tabs: Major components are stamped and may have heat-sensitive tabs attached to monitor operating temperatures. If these tabs indicate overheating or are tampered with/removed, the warranty is immediately voided.
